The team leader at UCU SoD is the Dean who is deputized by two associates, one for research and one for education. The role of Associate Dean for Education is to supervise/oversee the teaching and learning at the School. The School of Dentistry has several departments—both biomedical and clinical. Learning in the biomedical sciences is shared with the MBChB programme at the School of Medicine during the first two and a half years of enrolment. Some operational structures are shared with the University (e.g. financial management, human resources management, and procurement). There is a joint library with the School of Medicine domiciled at the School of Dentistry building. Biomedical sciences laboratories are shared with, and domiciled at, the School of Medicine.
